One More Banner

Another banner commissioned by Picturehouse at FACT, this one’s advertising The Book Thief, Only Lovers Left Alive and The Grand Budapest Hotel Have a look at them on Facebook.

More work for FACT

I’m enjoying making these banners – they’re keeping me fluent in Illustrator. This time it’s for The Armstrong Lie, Inside Llewyn Davis and The Wolf of Wall Street – again, see ’em here live on Facebook and Twitter

Some work for Picturehouse @ FACT

I’ve put together a flyer for Picturehouse, based in FACT in Liverpool which is shouting about their ’12 Days of Christmas’ in which they’re showing a load of festive favourites in the run up for Christmas:

Each icon represents the film being shown on that day, with all the listings (and some drinks offers) on the reverse. (Note that my signature isn’t on the other copies)

I also created a banner image advertising three films soon to be released:

You can see them in action on Facebook and Twitter.

I’ll be doing some more banners of future films to be released so watch this space.

Tarantino Poster

I was asked by Picturehouse in FACT, Liverpool to produce a poster promoting their Tarantino season which kicked off with Reservoir Dogs two days ago. Here’s the final outcome:

To get there, first I came up with a few ideas and thought to feature the/a main character from each film on the poster. So I began to sketch each one… (By the time I started drawing Jackie Brown, I realised I didn’t have time to use the whole body in the poster so I didn’t draw it)

… And then using Illustrator I created neat and crisp portraits of the characters… (Kill Bill 1 and 2 were added to the playlist late on, so ‘The Bride’ didn’t get to start in pencil)

… And put them together using clipping masks to get the end result.

I hope you appreciate the amount of effort that has gone into tagging this post as well as that which has gone into making the actual poster!
